Kandice Gloria also known as the Creative Content Guru is an entertainment business professional specializing in Public Relations, Social Media, Branding & Digital Marketing. As a millennial child Kandice’s love for technology, media, and music was displayed at an early age. From designing Myspace content for her and her friends to breaking the social frenzie of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Periscope and many more! It’s only right for Kandice to continue her journey in this field. It’s only right, I mean she might be the only person who still tries coding her own WordPress website.
Achievements: After attending Full Sail University and pursing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Entertainment Business and a Master of Arts degree in Public Relations, Kandice finally realized the direction of her career. Her passion for the Music industry didn’t rely on what meets the eye. It relied on the team of passionate experts and management that was behind the musician. This is what led Kandice to wanting to work within the music industry doing PR, Digital Marketing, Branding, and Social Media.
Experience: With 5 years + of industry experience Kandice has used all of her knowledge and skills acquired throughout her degree programs and internships to build a pretty eye-catching resume. Kandice first interned at the WWE NXT while attending Full Sail University in 2012. As a live events intern she was able to work side by side with the events coordinator and learned the In’s and Out’s of what it’s like to get ready for a real WWE match. She assisted in aligning seating, counting tickets, organizing merchandise, and directing talent. In 2014, Kandice landed an internship at KC101.3 an iHeartRadio station as a promotions/event intern. Here her digital skills were put to the test. She managed the stations Twitter account by using tools like Hootsuite and Tweetdeck. She also updated website content for the station’s talent and assisted in the organization of on-site events. Lastly, in 2015 Kandice was able to obtain an amazing internship at Atlantic Records as a publicity intern in the urban department. If dreams could come true, this did for her. She was able to prove to herself and her advisor that this internship was right for her by compiled television, radio, and magazine media contacts through Microsoft Excel. Updating artist press kits, press releases, videos, and pictures on Word Press, and creating artist media pick up, media mocks, and artist one sheets. Kandice’s most recent internship has her socially active by creating unique and creative content for the Boys & Girls Club of Bristol Family Center. Even though it’s not in the music realm she has been gaining more experience in the digital marketing world. Lastly, after proving herself through her writing Kandice is proud to announce her position as a remote blogger for Electric Picks.
Volunteer: Events are the best places to volunteer at that is why in 2015 Kandice Volunteered at Vans Warped Tour in the Full Sail University tent. As a volunteer she was responsible for setting up the event table with prizes and school pamphlets. She assisted in lining up fans to meet different artists through meet and greets and album signings, and last she helped maintained the schools goal of compiling at least 60 new student leads by the end of the event.
With all of these opportunities Kandice has gained experience, knowledge, and skills that puts her in the position she is today.
